POINTS OF LIGHTS
In 1990 Nations Association was recognized as the 276th “Point of Light” by President George H.W. Bush. This designation was presented to the organization for outstanding work in our community.
Points of Light is the world’s largest organization dedicated to volunteer services. They mobilize millions of people to take action, change the world and bring the power of people where its needed most. They inspire more people to become volunteers, increase the impact of volunteer service, equip volunteers to solve specific problems and create a culture that encourages volunteerism. Point of Light’s programs give people, nonprofits and companies meaningful ways to get involved in the causes they care most about.
We can find meaning and reward by serving some higher purpose than ourselves, a shining purpose, the illumination of a thousand points of light.
